Selera Senibong Seafood, Senibong, Johor

Still in Johor Bahru! Yay!!!

This is my favourite seafood place in Johore. Introduced to me years ago by Ammir, this is the place I head to for seafood when I'm in town.

You can find this place quite easily with help from Waze. Don't be intimidated when you reach small, one-way road. Find the Senibong Seafood Village where you can see boats, seafood restaurants and some stalls selling souvenirs and other things you don't really need. One stall even sold DVDs.

  Parking fee in the complex was RM2 per entry when I went there (early June 2014). Come early to see the sunset! There's a surau and public washroom in the complex so don't worry :)

Selera Senibong Seafood is the second outlet from parking lot, right next to the Malam Indah Selalu restaurant. Why this particular restaurant? Aside from the good food, they're friendly, accomodating and very efficient.

Taste - #iLove especially the butter prawn

Price - Fair

Ambiance - Open air, on water. Got tables under roof as well if you don't care for the view. Family-friendly.

A lady ushered us to a table and took our order. A guy came later to give us the table number for reference. I ordered butter prawn, udang goreng tepung, sotong goreng tepung, tom yam campur, telur dadar, pari bakar, and jenahak 3 rasa (sweet, sour & spicy fish). Drinks were coconut drink, lychee, longan, iced lime and iced coffee.

OK. So I might have ordered a little bit too much for 5 not-very-hungry people. We couldn't finish the fried prawns (butter & normal) and fried calamari so I got them packed for tarpao. YOU can skip the udang goreng tepung and just order the udang butter yeah.

Total was RM253, fair price I'd say.
