I am a fan of Wondermilk. Specifically their vanilla cupcakes. So when Rimba & Rusa opened (not so recently), I've been wanting to drop by and check it out myself. The restaurant is situated at Sunway Nexis in Kota Damansara. It's the building next to Sunway Giza. From The Curve, turn right (towards Giant Kota Damansara) and take the first left. Find parking as Rimba & Rusa is on your left.

Taste - Good

Price - Dear to some but fair to me. RM49 for 2 pax. Cups of water are free.

Ambiance - Love the decor and high ceiling! Homey and reminded me of a perfect, sunny Sunday morning.

Well it's a plate of fries with parmesan (RM12). What do you expect? <3<3<3

Price reference. Since the food was delicious, I consider the price as fair.

Menu consisted of western & local dishes with delightful twists. Took me quite some time to decide on what to eat since I am a picky and unadventurous eater.

It's family-friendly and if you want some privacy you can always climb upstairs. Good place for a get-together with friends but don't rely on their desserts. Cupcakes were out of stock when I visited :(

Mr Steak House, Kota Damansara

Dad said there's a new place in town and so one day, we went there for lunch.

A corner restaurant near Nasi Ayam Warisan Kota Damansara, it would have been cozy if not for the annoying lalat. Hope owner will fix that soonest.

Taste - Good <3<3<3

Price - RM31.80 for grilled chicken, chicken marryland, sprite, tamarind juice and service charge. 

Ambiance - Cowboy themed. Okay for family outing and lepak with friends. No romantic dinner.

So where is this place exactly? If you don't know where Nasi Ayam Warisan Kota Damansara is, look for McDonalds in section 6 Kota Damansara. There are some shops next to it and the restaurant is facing the main road (view probably blocked by the roadside eateries). Same row with 7 Eleven, Ayamas (Rasamas?) and a workshop.

TalentLounge, PJ Trade Centre, Damansara Perdana

A building right opposite

We had a farewell cum belated birthday gathering at TalentLounge in Damansara Perdana. It's a cosy place at night and I heard that it is even better during the day. It is not secluded but can be easily missed if you don't know what to look for.

  Many of us arrived late that night. Partly due to traffic congestion and mostly due to wrongly tagged address in Waze. So, don't use Waze location to find this place. The tagged location is within the Damansara Perdana area but definitely nowhere near.

  I sent 'my current location' to friends together with instruction that include 'unlit junction', 'dark parking', and 'walk towards light'. One friend was even sent the picture above so he could drive towards it like some sort of beacon. For first-timers, daytime patronage is highly recommended.

From where I sat...

Taste - #iLike the fish & chips. Could't have too much chips though as they had chili flakes & they made me cough. Fellow diners reactions to their main dish/snacks were all positive. 

Price - Not cheap but not too expensive. Fish & chips (RM27), eggs benedict (RM24), S.Pallegrino (RM10), ice coffee cubes (RM10) & macchiato (RM8). Sirloin steaks and salmon are about RM40 each, so that's alright. Total RM400+ for 9 pax and 2 of us only had drinks.

Ambiance - Very comfortable. I love the high ceiling and the sofas. Great place for an open mic session and many more. It truly is a space for talents.

Here's my fish & chips. Not the best I've had but not the worst either. It's good, don't get me wrong. Ms. A said the tomato is delicious so I gave her mine. Yup that little tomato in the middle.

The building itself, Menara Mustapha Kamal is a great venue for photoshoot and if you love photography, modern architecture and design, give this place a visit. Remember to bring your camera!

Cafe Studio, Kota Damansara

Hey, it's June already!

What better way to chill on the weekend with friends and loved ones than to lepak at Cafe Studio which is far away from the office. Not applicable if you work in Kota Damansara lah. Hehe.

You'd probably have seen many reviews raving about this place. Rumah dah dekat but last week baru I sempat visit this cafe/studio. It's on the first floor so you gotta take d lift or climb some stairs- I suggest the latter. It is same row with AshhAnnas (but block lain), the block is right next to Encorp The Strand.

Taste - #iLike

Price - RM250+ for 7 pax

Ambiance - Modern and artsy. I love how they have natural lighting area and 'exhibition lighting' area. Pick your fav.

Operating hours- from 12 noon to 10 pm, close on Thursday.

This is a pork-free cafe. If you and/or your loved ones are strict about it, best to avoid. Not nice lah if ada yang tarik muka at table when they see 'Beer battered chicken' in the menu. Sorry not much pics of the food but I promise you, they are sedap.

When you see this, you know you're heading to the right place!

Food generally delicious. A few other dishes tak take pic sebab tuan dia dah lapar and the rest of us dah jalan-jalan around the cafe to take pics. If got other patrons please be polite ya. Jangan bising-bising or buat perangai stalker and take their pics just because you want a shot of the decor. Common sense ye dak?
