Bayan Lepas.
When I first saw the place, I thought it was a club :) Remember Rootz in KL?
Anyway, if you're in Penang, do stop here on the way from/to the airport. This new place is worth a little detour even if the tourist attractions and fancy cafes are mostly in Georgetown. I am not certain of the operating hour but it was closed on Monday.
There are plenty of photo ops for the camwhore in us and... the food is delicious. They also have desserts but I didn't try any. Churros (yay!) are available from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Serving time was not long. Granted I was there for an early dinner and the cafe wasn't packed.
Taste - Delicious! Chicken chop was well seasoned and I especially love the mashed potato
Price - Fair. RM45.80 for 2 pax
Ambiance - Not exactly an original concept but definitely 'in', hip and pleasing.

Pretty sure the local teens and college students will find this a cool place to hangout. Nice choice for family or special dinner as well.
Oh if you're already in the area for some delicious Chinese food in Chinese Muslim Restaurant (CMR) drop by Roots for dessert! It's on the same row, just a few shops away.

Tried these and I love em!
