Booking - I booked using airbnb. A very last minute thing.

Rate - Good. RM336 for 2 nights

Location - Excellent! Within walking distance or short drive to many Kota Bharu's attractions

Dining - NA

Service - Good. No room service obviously. Just family member of owner(s) handing the keys and escorting up to room. Check-out was leaving the room keys in a drop box. Super simple.

Just one con and that is noise. Like if there are noisy kids in the hallway, you can hear them. Loud and clear.

It's a nice place for couples and group of friends (they have 3 units). Thin wall though. If you're a light sleeper, you might feel irritated especially if the neighbours (mostly homestays) are noisy.

This cafe is part of a hotel, website here. Therefore, tables can be quite limited if you visit during busy hours and you might want to call them in advance. Parking wasn't an issue when I went for dinner. Not sure during the day.

Ambiance - Clean, white tea room. Classy yet minimal.

No coffee, just tea and desserts. They have macarons too. Parking can be hard so you might have to walk a bit. It's near Prangin Mall and you can choose to park there and walk over.

Check out this hotel with private pool in all their rooms! Oh and nice view too.

Less than 15 minutes drive from Penang Airport (5.3 km), it's perfect for tourists looking for alternative area than the famous (and busy) Georgetown. It can also be a one-night stop before you leave Penang. 

The parking & corridor was very service-apartment-like, I did not put high expectation on the room. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The suite was perfect, I didn't want to leave. Well, almost perfect but we'll get there.

BEAUTIFUL bathroom BUT...

my only complain is about the bathroom floor, specifically the drainage system. It wasn't designed properly and if you use the (heavenly) shower/rainwater shower, the bathroom gets flooded :(

Lucky there's that nice bathtub :D

Oh yeah. Another issue is thin walls but it's only a problem if you get noisy neighbours.

Anyway... if you need to do your lapses, there's a proper outdoor swimming pool.

Buffet breakfast was included with the room rate and IT WAS SO DELICIOUS!

The food and mocktails are given names from P.Ramlee's movies. Don't worry, they have a description. Otherwise you can ask the friendly waitress for clarification.

Good food, friendly and very accommodating service. However, seats are limited so you might want to book in advance (no joke) or be prepared to wait especially for dinner. Food also took some time to arrive, the kitchen was obviously busy that night- it was weekday!
